South African hip hop is officially global. Our rappers have been knocking on the international doors for a while now, and after making several breakthroughs we can celebrate the fact that two of our top rappers have made it to Sway in The Morning within the space of two weeks. Forget all the beef nonsense right now, raise your hands and say “halala!” because this is a time to celebrate.
AKA made his debut on the hip hop breakfast show on Wednesday afternoon (Morning in the US) and he got to chat to Sway about all things hip hop. South African producer, Mhlanga Kudzayi managed to capture snippets of the interview on his Snapchat account and shared them with the country.

After an exciting first six months of 2016 which saw the likes of J. Cole, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey in the country, music lovers might have been a bit worried about what could be coming next. Beijing (CNN) China said Wednesday it has the right to set up an air defense zone in the hotly disputed South China Sea, a day after a landmark court ruling against Beijing's claims in the contested waters. Liu Zhenmin, China's vice foreign minister, told a press conference in Beijing that China's sovereignty over the bulk of the South China Sea wouldn't be affected by a decision by the International Court for Arbitration, which went overwhelmingly in favor of the Philippines.    Liu said imposing an air defense identification zone (ADIZ) in the region, which would require aircraft flying over the waters to first notify China , would depend on the threat level China faced.
